Astons Steak & Salad @ Marina Square

The atmosphere is nice and we had our dinner there. The food was great and a great variety of food. The portion was generous and food came quick. Dorothy Koh was very friendly and clean our plates. She was very diligent and prompt in cleaning our area. Muffins are our favourite. White coffee was nice!

Used to eat here few times, good value for money, i want the variety of vegie salad, plus the soup for the day, free flow drinks and ice cream. The recent we visit the price increase but still ok. Just continously top up the buffet. Be back again.

First time here and it’s really gd here. So worth it to get a free flow buffet of salads n sides n soups n drinks n desserts just by ordering a main course starting at 24.90. Star of the show was Dorothy . We first met her at the city sq branch of aston’s and she recognized us right away. She is chatty , efficient and attentive ! Always looking after the tables like a hawk . She was off break n yet offering to get us something else to try . Will definitely be back again !

ASTONS Steak & Salad at Marina Square is a great value-for-money dining spot, especially if you love variety. The salad bar is impressive, offering a wide selection of items, from fresh greens to pasta salads and soups. For around $30, you get a main course, access to the salad bar, plus free-flow drinks and ice cream — which is honestly very worth it for the price. I’ve always loved Astons’ lemon lime chicken, but the version served here was a bit underwhelming — it seemed under-seasoned, and the lemon sauce lacked the usual zest and tanginess. The fries were also disappointing, not crispy and rather flat in texture. That said, the salad bar more than made up for it, and I still left feeling satisfied. Overall, despite the main being a letdown, the value and variety make this a place I’d definitely visit again — especially when I want a hearty meal with lots of sides to choose from

I had an absolutely delightful experience at Aston Steak & Salad (Marina Square) with my family. The food was consistently good — hearty portions, well-seasoned, and served fresh. The steaks were cooked just right, the sides were tasty, and the salad bar was well stocked with a generous spread of greens and dressings. It’s the kind of comfort food you can return to again and again. But what truly made this visit memorable was the warmth of the service. Auntie Dorothy, in particular, left a deep impression on us. Not only was she attentive and friendly throughout our meal, she surprised our family with freshly baked baby muffins just before we left. It was such a thoughtful gesture — one that instantly brightened our day. We ended up having a lovely conversation with her, and she even took the time to offer us advanced Christmas greetings, wishing our family well with genuine warmth. It’s rare to encounter service staff who serve from the heart, and Auntie Dorothy is one of those gems who uplift the entire dining experience. Her kindness made our visit feel less like a restaurant stop and more like a moment of connection. Aston Steak & Salad at Marina Square is already a great spot for good food at reasonable prices — but with people like Auntie Dorothy, it becomes truly exceptional. Highly recommended, and heartfelt thanks to Auntie Dorothy for making our day! Oh be there early as the queue can be long over the weekends!

This is the 3rd time I went to this outlet. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Today we meet a wonderful staff Mr Gib Son. He welcomed us when we stepped into the restaurant. He also asked for feedback and keeps a smiling face. I was impressed with his positive attitude and his professionalism. The buffet side dish had a lot of varieties, hope the lunch promotion will be on going.

I’ve been eating at Astons for many years, but I only recently realised that this outlet offers a buffet-style finger food and salad bar. That was a pleasant surprise. While the per-dish price here is slightly higher than the average Astons outlet, I still find it worth it. The buffet salad bar has a good variety, and it definitely adds more value and options to the meal. However, I feel the customer service could be improved. I understand that the outlet is often crowded and the food runs out quickly, which can be stressful. That said, I noticed one staff member (not all) looking visibly frustrated whenever she had to refill the empty dishes. I completely appreciate the hard work during peak hours, but a more positive service attitude would make the overall dining experience much better. Overall, still a solid place for a satisfying meal — especially with the added buffet selection

This place is pretty upscale in this area, with nice decor and relatively high prices for individual dishes. But the ingredients and freshness of the food are definitely top-notch. The flavors are a bit salty, but I'm not really into salty food, so my opinion on taste isn't very reliable. The fries are also really well-made, worth the price.The staff were friendly and welcoming, but the service was a bit slow.
